PROGRAM
Beginning at 10:00 a.m., refreshments (light snacks, coffee, tea, etc.) will be available. We will start the workshop promptly at 10:15 a.m.. Note that this is slightly earlier than normal.
In order to maximize discussion, authors will not make detailed presentations. Instead, they may offer brief introductory comments, and then we will open the floor to questions. Participants are expected to have read the papers (below) so that virtually all of the time can be devoted to Q&A.
10:15 am: Jen Lawless (UVA) and Kathy Dolan (Wisconsin-Milwaukee): "Gender Bias in Primary Elections: Survey Says?"
11:15 am: Julian Wamble (GW): "Turned Tables: Examining Black Voters’ Stereotypes of White People"

1:15 pm: Rachel Potter (UVA): "Privatizing Personnel: Presidents, Politics, & Bureaucratic Outsourcing"
2:15 pm: Ali Valenzuela (AU), Derek Wakefield (Princeton), and Chris Flores (Stanford): "Who’s Targeting Latinos? How Democrats and Republicans Use Televised Campaign Advertising to Reach Latino Voters from 2000-2016"
DIRECTIONS, PARKING, AND TRANSPORTATION
The workshop will be held at the American University Washington College of Law (4300 Nebraska Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016) in NT01/Ceremonial Classroom. The building is on Tenley Circle, near the Tenleytown-AU Metro stop. Note that this is a different location than our previous meetings at AU -- no need to ride the shuttle to the main campus this time.
Information on parking at the law school is here. There is also parking at the nearby Greenberg Theatre. Rates at the two locations vary.
